Job description

Job Summary: The primary responsibility is to perform clerical duties on a nursing or clinical unit, following confidentiality expectations.

Foster a cooperative atmosphere by maintaining professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness towards staff, patients, and families.

Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies, guiding principles, rules, and regulations.

Attend orientation and complete ongoing in-service education as required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Assemble new patient charts.
  2. Prepare requisitions.
  3. Report needed repairs promptly to relevant services.
  4. Answer phones, relay messages, and schedule appointments.
  5. Prepare charts for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  6. Maintain forms within charts as needed.
  7. Communicate with other departments such as PAS and the Bed Board in a timely manner.
  8. Order and restock unit supplies.
  9. Keep work areas clean and organized for the team.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule: 40/80 FT Days - Every Other Weekend

Unit: Delmonico 2 is a General Treatment Unit.

Note: You are being hired as a permanent replacement for a striking employee. Employment is subject to performance standards and conditions of Butler Hospital.
