What you will do in this role:

• Ensure visitors are acknowledged promptly, help direct them, and answer questions
• Initiate and maintain medical records upon patient admission, during stay, and upon discharge within the electronic medical record system
• Follow up on doctors’ orders
• Serve as unit receptionist for calls and visitor information
• Interact regularly with staff, physicians, visitors, patients’ families, and other hospital personnel to exchange information
• Contact with patients, including answering lights, fulfilling non-care requests, attending appointments, and working in the café, always maintaining professionalism and courtesy

Qualifications:

• CNA License
• High school diploma required; two years of college preferred
• Computer experience required
• Hospital setting experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively with medical personnel, patients, and families
• Excellent communication skills; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
