What you will do in this role:
  • Ensure visitors are acknowledged quickly and help direct them and answer questions
  • Initiate medical records upon admission, maintain during patient stay, and close upon discharge within the electronic medical record
  • Follow up on doctors’ orders
  • Serve as unit receptionist for calls and visitor information
  • Interact frequently with unit personnel, physicians, visitors, patients’ families, and hospital staff for information exchange
  • Contact with patients, including answering patient lights, fulfilling requests for non-care items, attending appointments, and working in the café, always maintaining professionalism and courtesy
Minimum Requirements:
  • CNA License
  • High school diploma required; two years of college-level education preferred
  • Computer experience required
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Ability to work with medical personnel, patients, and families at all levels
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, knowledge of medical terminology is desirable
