Merrimack Health is seeking a Unit Secretary / Aide to provide secretarial and clerical support to the nursing unit while assisting with ancillary patient care as needed. The role requires adherence to age-specific care requirements and professional behavior.

Preferred candidates may hold MA or CNA credentials and have experience with health-care terminology and multiple health care-related computer systems. Strong customer service is essential in this position.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Previous experience performing clerical and phone duties in a health-care related environment.
• Must have an outstanding customer service attitude and demonstrate a commitment to professional behavior.

• Provide secretarial and clerical support to the nursing unit.

As theUnit Secretary /Aide, youwill providesecretarial and clerical support to the nursing unit and provide ancillary patient care services in the role of Aide (i.e. Nursing Assistant) on the unit as needed, and in accordance with age-specific category requirements.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Previous experience performing clerical and phone duties in an office or health-care related environment
• Must have an outstanding customer service attitude and demonstrate a commitment to professional behavior.

Preferred:

• Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant
• One year experience as CNA or MA
• Nursing students whocompleted oneyear of nursing clinical training are also qualified.
• Knowledge of health care terminology
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple health care-related computer systems
