Description

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Unit Secretary to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. This role involves assisting physicians and providing exceptional patient care across various medical conditions.

What You Will Do

  • Greet patients, families, and visitors in a friendly manner, assisting with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, relay messages, and handle intercom calls, notifying staff as needed.
  • Assemble and maintain medical charts, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation of reports and results.
  • Coordinate patient needs, including ordering meals, calling housekeeping, and reporting concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
  • CPR/BLS certification from AMA or Red Cross required.

Schedule

  • Part-Time, 24 hours, Day Shift.
  • Availability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
