Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Temple, TX is seeking a Unit Secretary on a PRN basis to support the nursing unit with clerical tasks. Shifts are 12 hours, from 7am to 7pm, at a pay rate of $20 per hour.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of clerical experience in a medical setting, be proficient with computers, and hold a high school diploma or GED. BLS certification or completion within 90 days is expected.

• Minimum 1 year of clerical experience in a medical setting.
• Proficient computer skills required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical functions for the nursing unit, including record keeping, maintenance of logs, and chart organization.
• Notifies the nursing staff and/or nurse manager of pertinent patient information, including physician orders, lab results, and communications from other departments.
