Job summary

Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre in Saginaw, MI is seeking a Unit Manager RN to coordinate clinical care on an assigned unit within our 24-hour operation, using the latest technology as part of a strong interdisciplinary team.

You will supervise the nursing staff, conduct regular rounds, and guide the care process while ensuring quality reporting and compliance. Excellent customer service and leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a nursing degree.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan; CPR-BLS certification.
• Strong analytical abilities to develop personalized care plans and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing team, provide direction and assignments, and support staff development.
• Conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
• Instruct the team on skilled care processes and act as a clinical resource.
• Ensure completion of required reports (infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management).
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with residents, families and visitors.

The Unit Manager is a Registered Nurse RN who is responsible for the coordinating the clinical care of an assigned unit within the center's 24 hour operation and ensuring consistent and quality care for all residents. You will be empowered to assess the needs and implement care as you deem necessary utilizing the latest in technology and being a part of a strong interdisciplinary team.

• Monday - Friday Schedule
• Rotating Weekend schedule with other nurse managers.
• Rotating on-call schedule with other nurse manages.

How You Will Help People Every Day

• You will supervise the nursing team including giving direction & assignments, offering training, and contribute to recognition and evaluations.
• You will conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
• You will instruct the team regarding the skilled care process and function as a resource person for clinical issues
• You will ensure the completion of requested reports, i.e., infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management, etc.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Current Registered Nurse RN License in the State of Michigan; current CPR-BLS certification.
• A high level of analytical abilities in order to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care and rehabilitation, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning well-being.
