River Bend Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced RN or LPN to serve as Unit Manager. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate resident care plans, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to ensure high-quality, compliant care.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced long-term care setting. Monday to Friday, day shift 7a-7p, with opportunities for staff development and regulatory readiness support.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid RN or LPN license.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience, with leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit, providing leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure efficient workflow and quality care delivery.
  • Coordinate and monitor resident care by reviewing assessments, care plans, and documentation to ensure all residents receive appropriate and individualized care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to address resident needs and ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor staffing assignments on the unit and assist with scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient operations.
  • Provide clinical support to nurses and CNAs, assisting with complex care needs and promoting best practices in nursing care.
  • Address and resolve resident, family, or staff concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all nursing documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and regulatory survey preparation to maintain compliance and improve care outcomes.
  • Support staff development through mentorship, coaching, and ongoing education opportunities.
  • Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and high standards of resident care.

Job description

River Bend Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Unit Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, effective staff coordination, and compliance with all regulatory standards. The Unit Manager serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff while supporting residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Monday to Friday day shift, 7a-7p

Unit Manager Key Responsibilities

Unit Manager Qualifications
