Job summary

Harmony Waterloo is seeking an Unit Manager for day shift, full-time, to lead the nursing unit and support a caring team. You will supervise clinical staff, ensure high standards of care, and help sustain a positive culture at the facility.

The role requires Iowa RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification, and 2+ years of RN/LPN experience, with a preference for 5+ years and prior unit management experience. We offer competitive wages, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered Iowa RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and two years RN/LPN experience.
• Five years RN/LPN experience preferred, but we will invest in the right candidate.
• Experience managing a nursing department or unit is a plus.

• Ensure infection prevention practices are maintained and staffing meets residents' needs.

As Unit Manager you are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony Waterloo by assisting with supervising the activities of all clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Iowa (or compact state) Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, CPR Certification, and two (2) years of RN/LPN experience. Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit and five (5) years of RN/LPN experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
