Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing unit and direct overall operations and patient care in a facility setting. You will oversee coordination of care aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with staff, physicians, and rehabilitation therapy teams to drive optimal patient outcomes while managing staffing, reducing overtime, and guiding performance and staff development.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
• Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orienting staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
