Genesis HealthCare in Maine is seeking a Unit Manager/Director - RN to support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality care and achieving positive clinical outcomes.

You will lead nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, collaborate with physicians and therapists, and manage staffing and performance within an assigned unit. The role offers competitive compensation, benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with Genesis HealthCare's mission, vision, values and policies and compliant with state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on the assigned nursing unit.
• Manage human resources in the assigned unit, including reducing overtime and agency usage, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing performance, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct the overall operations, coordination and direction of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery is consistent with the mission, vision, values and policies of Genesis HealthCare and in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing unit.
• Manage the human resources in assigned unit to include limiting use of overtime and agency personnel, recruiting and orientating staff, assessing the work performance of nursing staff, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.

Qualifications
