Job summary

Avante Mt Dora Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate LPN or RN to join as Unit Manager. You will supervise daily nursing activities during your shift, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards and maintaining high-quality resident care.

The role requires supervisory experience, a good standing license, CPR certification, and a strong commitment to elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as LPN or RN in good standing and comply with licensure requirements.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Must supervise and instruct others.
• Prior supervisory experience or training as required by state law.
• Must maintain CPR certification.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Ensure care meets current federal, state, and local standards.
• Coordinate with Director of Nursing to maintain quality of care.

Avanteat Mt. Dora Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a caring, patient-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) for a Unit Manager position. The ideal candidate would be passionate about helping others, have a positive attitude, and be a dedicated team-player.

The Unit Manager would be responsible for supervising the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English
• Must be able to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous supervisory experience or completion of appropriate supervisory training program, or as required by state law.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Education and Experience:

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and meet all applicable federal and state licensure requirements.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
