South Carolina Health Care Association seeks an experienced Charge Nurse to lead nursing staff in delivering high-quality resident care in a licensed facility. You will supervise licensed and nursing assistants, ensure adherence to care plans, and maintain compliance with state regulations under the DON and Nursing Manager.
The role requires LPN licensure, prior supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site position offering competitive benefits.
To provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Nursing or Nursing department Managers; and, in doing so, to lead or direct licensed and non-professional nursing staff in the delivery or direct resident care and support functions.

Two-to-four-year nursing program certificate from an accredited college or university; two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience. Must be a Licensed Practicing Nurse (LPN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
Supervises Certified Nursing Assistants on his/her tour of duty which includes the authority to terminate employment. Termination of employment for other than gross misconduct must get final approval from the DON and the Administrator. May participate in evaluation of CNA’s job performance.
Ability to promote positive relationships with residents, visitors and government regulators. Ability to present a professional appearance and attitude.
