Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Unit Manager - LPN to lead nursing on a dedicated unit, delivering compliant, high-quality care while controlling costs and promoting positive outcomes. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate staffing and safety, and supervise non-professional staff on your shift.

You will oversee medication management, provide direct patient care when needed, and drive ongoing education with the Nurse Educator to keep skills sharp and compliant with policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
• Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center's state.
• Must have at least one year of nurse management experience.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care.
• Provide professional guidance and supervision to non-professional unit staff.
• Identify educational needs of the staff and develop training to address with the Nurse Educator.
• Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and that all medications are handled in accordance with company policy.
• Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills.

Posted Salary Range: USD $34.00 - USD $39.00 /Hr.
