Job summary

Benefis Hospitals, Inc. seeks an energetic Host/Hostess to support patient dining services. You will take bedside orders, guide meal selections, and ensure timely delivery of meals to patients across the hospital.

The role emphasizes building relationships with patients to maintain high guest satisfaction and adheres to all diet guidelines. You'll work in a dynamic hospital setting, handling fast-paced periods and coordinating with dietary staff to meet evolving patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Course work or knowledge in nutrition and special diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the patient dining experience by taking a patient's order at their bedside, guiding the patient in selecting their meal, and delivering meals to patients throughout the hospital.
• Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by forming relationships with patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all diets and a sense of urgency to ensure timely, accurate meal delivery while handling changing situations.

Host/Hostess

Directly responsible for the patient dining experience by taking a patient's order at their bedside, guiding the patient in selecting their meal, and the delivery of meals to patients throughout the hospital. The primary focus is to form relationships with patients in order to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. The Unit Host has knowledge of all diets and exhibits a sense of urgency to ensure the timely, expedient and accurate delivery of meals to our guests. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health system organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Course work or knowledge in nutrition and special diets preferred.
