Job summary

The Pines at Glens Falls is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our compassionate team. You will receive hands-on training, attend class, lab instruction, and clinical experiences to prepare for the CNA exam.

Paid training to earn CNA certification is provided; after graduation, you will help care for residents in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill, with the ability to work with both.
• Ability and commitment to maintain reliable attendance and meet scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage in training programs to gain knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures.
• Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision.
• Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents.
• Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being of residents.

What We Offer

• Paid training to earn your CNA certification
• $17.15/hour during training; $21.25/hour + shift differentials after graduation
• 3-4 day per week 8:30-2:30 class schedule.
• Hands-on experience in a supportive learning environment

What You'll Do

As a Nursing Assistant Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop essential skills in providing care to our residents. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals. You will attend class, lab instruction, and clinical experiences to prepare for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam.
