Job Overview

The Unit Down/EO Expeditor supports the Customer Support department by assisting Customer Support Reps, Planners, and external suppliers to fill high-priority orders. Responsible for expediting parts delivery to meet demand, replenishment, and unforeseen needs. Manages both non-stock and stock backorders, reviews inventory levels, and identifies supplier deficiencies to recommend improvements. Collaborates with planners to ensure proactive coverage of requirements, including demand, kits, and future orders.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Follow-up and expedite with vendors for unit down and emergency backorders, communicating ship dates to Distributor Parts Support teams. Maintain professional communication and respond within 24 hours.
• Track paybacks for assembly and machine cannibalizations, keeping all involved parties updated daily to support timely resale of cannibalized machines. Handle various order types including global distributor orders, inter-depot transfers, and firm future orders.
• Inform Distributors of expected delivery times, delays, or changes, maintaining accurate records of supplier responses and actions.
• Organize and prioritize work independently, assist colleagues with expediting tasks, and help communicate urgency changes to ensure timely resolutions.
• Research problems and suggest alternatives through internal systems, analyzing information to resolve emergency and unit down backorders effectively.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of internal systems.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Industry experience is a plus.
• 3-4 years in logistics, especially related to emergency orders and parts expediting. Experience in Distributor Support or Materials Management is advantageous.
• Responsible, adaptable, and able to multitask efficiently.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong oral and written communication skills.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $45,440 - $56,800, based on experience, skills, market rates, role responsibilities, education, certifications, and location.
