Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank Inc seeks a Unit Director to lead the After School and Summer Day Camp Child Care and Enrichment Program. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and coordinate with school personnel and parents while promoting engaging activities and climate for learning.

Responsibilities include scheduling, attendance, payments where applicable, and collaboration with curriculum advisors to maintain program quality and alignment with club policies and mission.

Qualifications

• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required.
• Knowledge of Youth Development and working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Club members and lead YDP staff with guidance.
• Ensure programs align with Club policies and safety rules.
• Coordinate with teachers and curriculum advisors for homework support.
• Post daily/weekly schedules on bulletin/white boards promptly.
• Communicate concerns with parents and provide updates.
• Maintain professional attitude and behavior at all times.
• Liaise with school staff to ensure seamless site care.
• Manage member registration, attendance, and check-in/out.
• Collect monthly payments where applicable and track finances.
• Follow Recruitment and Retention policies to bring in members.
• Share information at weekly staff meetings and attend Unit Director meetings.
• Order equipment, manage inventory, and control supplies.
• Report safety hazards to Program Directors immediately.
• Prepare Accident, Incident, and Program reports as needed.
• Conduct NYOI surveys and implement findings plan.
• Gather administrator, teacher, and parent surveys at year end.
