Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta in Mt. Shasta, California, is seeking a Unit Coordination II/Unit Tech to support the nursing team with safe, basic patient care under an RN's direction.
You will help with ADLs, vital signs, telemetry, and unit documentation to ensure efficient patient flow and outcomes. The role requires prior acute care experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech or nursing assistant, plus a current Monitor Technician Certificate and BLS certification.
As our Unit Coordination II/Unit Tech, you will help the healthcare team provide safe, therapeutic, and basic patient care under the direction of an RN, so they can ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient unit operations across various age ranges.
Every day you will manage incoming information, answer calls, and perform patient care duties such as assisting with ADLs and obtaining vital signs. You will be expected to maintain cleanliness, requisition supplies, perform telemetry monitoring, and ensure accurate documentation related to admissions, discharges, and patient rhythms.
To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience as a Unit Coordinator II/Tech or similar position in an acute care facility, a Nursing Assistant course, or patient care experience, including a current Monitor Technician Certificate.
