Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant to support patient care in the unit. Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking, taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting physicians and nursing staff under supervision.

Candidates must have current CNA or Medical Assistant certification, English proficiency, and familiarity with Meditech; the role requires mobility, ability to lift, and attention to safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans, stocks, and readies the department for care of patients.
• Transports patients within the hospital and to in-hospital locations as needed.
• Performs clinical functions, collects labs, vital signs, and tasks as directed.
• Transcribes information & medication orders into Meditech accurately.
• Unit receptionist responsibilities: scheduling, insurance auth, billing input.
• Backup for front desk responsibilities on the nursing unit.
• Maintains medical records located on the nursing unit.

There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch.
