Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks an administrative support professional to assist unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff, acting as the liaison among patients, visitors and clinicians. The role focuses on organizing priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating patient flow with nursing for admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Responsibilities include clerical duties, greeting patients and families, managing information, scheduling, and EMR data entry.
Provides administrative support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff, serving as the liaison between patients, visitors, and clinicians. Expected to effectively organize priorities, complete tasks on time, and manage confidential patient information. Responsible for partnering with nursing to coordinate the day‑to‑day patient flow, including communication to key players regarding patient admissions, discharges, and transfers. Also expected to provide outstanding services for every customer interaction. Actual job duties may vary by department.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Certified Health Unit Coordinator - National Association of Health Unit Coordinators (NAHUC) preferred
