Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Past or Active CNA license or CNA program graduation with 5+ years of experience accepted in lieu of diploma.
• Basic BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently use supplies and equipment
• Complete assignments and duties in a timely manner
• Leave shift on time and utilize time keeping system
• Demonstrate productivity and accept EDO and float assignments
• Fill out work orders and support unit goals to eliminate waste
• Participate and document per unit standards and stay updated with policy changes
• Problem solve and multitask within the CNA scope
• Suggest improvements to unit flow and patient experience
• Respond timely to patient needs and maintain professional patient relations
• Practice safe patient mobilization and fall-prevention measures
• Adhere to HIPAA and social media policy
• Share knowledge with colleagues and cross-training
• Act as a resource, preceptor or leader within the unit
• Collaborate with management for learning opportunities and departmental goals
• Engage with patients and families to provide holistic care
• Maintain a quiet, professional patient environment and flexible staffing adherence
• Apply AIDET communication framework
• Foster teamwork and interdepartmental relationships

Education
