Job summary

Holland Village, a senior living community, is seeking a Transportation and Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The role includes ensuring vehicles are clean and maintained, assisting residents in and out of vehicles, and coordinating driver schedules.

Responsibilities also cover scheduling doctor appointments, overseeing resident transport, and preparing monthly reports for records. You will support residents with mobility and safety during activities and travel.

Qualifications

• Assure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
• Fill gasoline at approved stations.
• Backup driver when needed for resident transport.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles (wheelchair lifts/stairs).
• Ensure residents are seated with seat belts or locks.
• Account for all residents when leaving/returning to Community.
• Schedule doctor appointments for SNF residents; manage follow-ups.
• Oversee driving staff schedules.
• Prepare reports for monthly records.
• Call residents' rooms for morning reminders.
• Assist residents in wheelchairs during activities outside the Community.

Responsibilities

• As Transportation Coordinator, you will ensure safe, reliable transport for residents and maintain vehicle readiness.
• Coordinate schedules for drivers and arrange timely doctor appointments and follow-ups.
• Support residents during loading/unloading, with mobility devices, and during activities to ensure safety.

Responsibilities of Transportation Coordinator

• Assure the facility vehicles are clean and properly maintained.
• Fill vehicle with gasoline at pre-approved service stations.
• Assists as back up driver when one is not available to take residents to appointments.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using the wheelchair lifts and/or stairs.
• Ensure residents are safely seated with seat belts or in wheelchair locking mechanisms.
• Account for all residents' presence when leaving or returning to the Community.
• Follow up with SNF residents with doctor appointments. Scheduling of doctor appointments
• Oversees driving staff schedules.
• Composes reports for monthly records.
• Call residents' rooms for morning reminders.
• Assist residents in wheelchairs during activities outside the Community.
