Job Description - Unit Clerk - Registrar - IICN - 16HR Evening Shift (3p-11p) - Women and Families Campus (252407)
Under the supervision of the nurse manager or designee, the Unit Clerk/Registrar organizes activities at the nurse station by performing clerical, reception, registration, and support duties. Responsibilities include maintaining the physical environment, ensuring adequate clerical supplies, coordinating transportation for intra-hospital patient transfers, and filing documents into medical records.
The role requires exercising judgment in clerical decisions, understanding department and hospital policies and procedures, and following diverse protocols. Candidates should maintain a calm, rational demeanor, perform effectively, and manage multiple tasks in high-pressure, emotionally charged situations.
