DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The 8E Medical/Surgical Unit serves a wide variety of general surgery patients, including colorectal, hepatobiliary, thyroid/parathyroid, and vascular trauma.
Summary: Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager, provide support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. Facilitate efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Support patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. Provide reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.
Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Three to six months previous related experience
Preferred: customer service, retail, clerical experience
