Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, a 495-bed system, invites applications for a Unit Clerk/CNA. This role provides clerical and data management support on the Patient Care Unit under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and assists with direct patient care tasks delegated by the RN.

Responsibilities include supporting an environment of safety, maintaining medical records, and coordinating unit needs while upholding Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certificate or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• EMT certification or related nursing credential favorable.
• LVN/ADN/BSN pursuing nursing program desirable.
• Medical Assistant Certification acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with age-appropriate plan of care as delegated.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Provide clerical support and unit-based medical records duties.
• Coordinate unit needs and communicate effectively with the care team.
