Job summary

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed acute care facility serving a rural community. The CNA will assist in planning, organizing and evaluating activities in the nursing unit, perform clerical and receptionist duties, and provide patient care as outlined by Nevada regulations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be eligible for CNA certification in Nevada, hold a current CNA license and BLS, and possess basic PC skills and medical terminology to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification eligibility in Nevada.
• Current CNA license in Nevada; BLS certification required.
• Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Job Description: Responsible for assisting the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical and receptionist duties, and performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state

Qualifications

Education: High school or equivalent preferred. Completion of education/experience necessary to obtain CNA Certification from Nevada Board of Nursing

Technical Skills: Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology.

License/Certification: Current CNA license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification required.

Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
