Brentwood Hospital in Shreveport, LA, is seeking a dedicated Unit Coordinator to support nursing staff and ensure efficient clerical operations on the unit.

The role requires coordinating staffing, payroll and administrative tasks, while maintaining patient safety and dignity in a 260-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility. Join a team focused on hope and recovery for diverse patients.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year experience with psychiatric patient population and secretarial experience preferred.
Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures adequate staffing on unit to meet patient demand and adjusts accordingly as needed.
Manages nursing payroll and completes in a timely manner.
Assists CNO and Nurse Managers with various administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.
Manages PRN pool effectively and audits compliance with program.
Advises CNO, Nurse Managers and House Supervisor of pending staffing issues. Is proactive in the resolution of said issues.
