Job summary

MB Healthcare is hiring a Unit Clerk for the Nursing department at Barclays Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. This full-time administrative role covers filing, data entry, typing reports, admissions/discharges, and coordination of transportation.

The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, be patient and reliable, with experience in a medical setting, knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Must have friendly, patient and reliable customer-service mindset.
• Excellent phone manners and strong computer skills required.
• Solid organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding required.
• Pharmacology experience is a plus.

Skilled Nursing Facility is Now Hiring a Unit Clerk.

This position is an administrative role and would include varied duties such as:

• Filing and data entry
• Typing reports & correspondence as required
• Assisting with the admissions / discharge process,
• Assisting with transportation approvals & schedules
• Relaying vital information to Nursing Staff & Medical Team
• Maintain medical records as per protocol, file medical charts as required
