7a-7:30p / Full Time / 36 Hours. RN Clinician Charge, Critical Care Stepdown LTAC. This individual: Plans, coordinates and directs the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit. Supervises staff and facilitates communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care. Is recognized as a change agent and routinely leads efforts to strengthen organizational systems that support the mission, vision, and values of the department. Adept at creative problem-solving, negotiating conflict, and collaborating with others.
Required / Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience: 2 years of recent nursing experience AND a minimum of 2 years in the area of concentration. Licensure: Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Certification: 1) BLS, 2) ACLS may be required for certain departments post hire, 3) Additional certifications may be required based on department and specialty. PLAN: Must meet all Clinical Nurse Employee Commitments. Achieves electives/points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system to maintain position. Must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine (9) months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasional); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constant). Lifting up to 75 lbs; carrying up to 35 lbs; occasional to frequent standing & walking; occasional sitting; close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing). Physical demands may vary by unit.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Environmental exposures may include blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, floor surfaces, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, shift work. Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment including respirators. Conditions vary by assignment.
