Job summary

Atlantic Health System in New Jersey is seeking a Communications and IT Support Associate to answer phones promptly, greet visitors, and direct patients and staff, ensuring efficient workflow across nursing and bed management.

You will troubleshoot unit computer problems, coordinate with support centers, assist with patient records, admissions and discharge paperwork, and support training of nursing staff on hospital information systems, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer phones promptly and politely while directing customers appropriately.
• Acts as liaison between Nursing, Bed Management, Patient Access, Environmental Services and Transport to ensure patient placement and flow.
• Maintains patient records and facilitates patient education; prints labels and wristbands; supports HIM scanning and paperwork.
• Provides training support to nursing staff on non-clinical hospital IT systems and coordinates with the IT department for downtime procedures.
