Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is hiring a Unit Care Assistant to support patient care on a busy nursing unit. The role collaborates with the RN to implement care plans, perform clerical duties, and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, WA Nursing Assistant Certification, and current BLS. Acute care experience is preferred and the hospital offers a supportive, community-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Previous acute care experience preferred. Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe and clean patient environment.
• Completes required documentation and data entry.
• Handles clerical duties on nursing unit including calls and orders.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Advocates for patient/family and supports transfers/discharges.
