Job Summary
A Unit Assistant II completes duties as assigned under the collaborative supervision of Unit Assistant Leadership, as well as leadership and staff in the assigned career pathway. The Unit Assistant II communicates effectively with members of the care delivery team. Shadow shifts will be assigned that offer hands-on experience in entry-level roles within assigned area, to assist in exploration of job opportunities available at the end of their high school enrollment. After completing assigned shadow shifts, a Unit Assistant II will meet with an HR representative to discuss potential career paths and opportunities to advance their career in healthcare.

Education
Required: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a high school or high school equivalent program
Preferred: Enrolled in a Health Science Program
Experience
Required: Employment as a CoxHealth Unit Assistant I
Skills
Must be 16 years of age or older
Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients, and families
Ability to problem solve
Flexibility and ability to accept direction from members of the care team
