Job summary

Qualifications

• One year previous experience as a nursing assistant, patient care technician, or unit assistant is required.
• Nursing students who have completed Foundations of Nursing are eligible without previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and reports basic patient physiological data (vital signs, weight, etc.).
• Monitors fluids intake/output and documents.
• Performs duties per physician/nurse orders within time frames.
• Assists with positioning, hygiene, and ADL support.
• Maintains patient charts and in EMR.
• Answers patient calls and directs requests to appropriate staff.
• Performs routine transport and room setup for admissions.
