Education
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through an accredited school of nursing.
Experience
One-year acute care experience preferred
Skills
· Interpersonal skills, communication (verbal and written) are required in order to instruct and comfort patients and their families and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel and maintain appropriate/adequate documentation.
· Ability to perform and plan professional nursing care resolving complex patient care problems and dealing with patients and their families often during stressful situations.
Licensures, Certifications
· Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
· Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification) – not required for Hospice employee.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk almost constantly (up to 90% of work time) and occasionally (up to 50% of work time) lifting and positioning patients.
Working Conditions
· Normal patient care environment with exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature.
· Possibly exposed to adverse working conditions due to performance of patient care activities and exposure to communicable diseases.

Pay Range
$21.62 - $33.48Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
