This is an active-duty role for an Ophthalmologist to become a Medical Corps Officer in the Navy.

Location: Full-Time in person position. Not a remote or telemedicine position. Nationwide.

Specialty: Ophthalmology

Annual Compensation: $220,000 to $250,000

Responsibilities: Ophthalmologists in the Navy play a vital role in preserving the vision and eye health of service members, ensuring they remain fit for duty in both deployed and non-deployed settings. You will provide comprehensive care for a wide range of eye conditions, from routine vision exams to complex surgeries, helping to maintain the operational readiness and overall well-being of service members.

In this role, you will offer services including eye exams, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions such as refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders. You will perform surgical procedures like cataract extractions, laser treatments, and corrective eye surgeries. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing eye injuries, providing emergency care, and ensuring proper rehabilitation for service members affected by visual impairments. Your expertise will support service members’ readiness and quality of life in various settings, including Navy hospitals, operational environments, and outpatient clinics.
