Thompson Pipe Group in South Beloit, IL is seeking a Welder for 1st shift to inspect, finish, and repair spirally welded steel cylinders used in water transmission, sewer, and penstock projects.

Role requires FCAW experience, ability to pass a 3G FCAW test with back gouge/back weld, and meeting ASME UW-51 radiographic standards with a 92% weld acceptance rate. Overtime available, with union benefits and company supplements.

Qualificações

• FCAW experience required and able to pass a 3G FCAW test with back gouge and back weld.
• Welds must meet ASME Section VIII, UW-51 for 100% radiographic inspection.
• Able to maintain a 92% weld acceptance rate.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, finish, and repair spirally welded steel cylinders for large-diameter pressure pipe.
• Perform back gouge, back welding, oxy-acetylene cutting, grinding and measurement documentation.
