Union Packaging Operator LG3, 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 1:30am Mon-Thurs

Join Boehringer Ingelheim as a Union Packaging Operator LG3, 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 1:30am Mon-Thurs.

Description

Perform duties in the manufacturing and packaging of high-quality biological products. Contribute to the discovery, development, and delivery of our products to patients and customers. Responsibilities
  • Prepare records, calculations, and documentation
  • Follow schedules, procedures, and documents
  • Assist in training and developing procedures
  • Use computer-assisted data entry systems (MES, SAP, scanners, printers, scales)
  • Support lower labor grades to complete daily tasks
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous waste properly
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain safe practices
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Set up and operate printing, labeling, packaging, and quality verification equipment
  • Ensure label integrity and perform quality inspections
  • Perform line audits and maintain proper storage conditions
  • Perform preventative maintenance and meet production standards
  • Assist higher-grade operators and perform lower classification tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform calculations involving weights, volumes, percentages
  • Basic logic for problem-solving and process improvements
  • Understanding of systems, equipment, and processes
  • Experience with Windows OS
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle materials ranging from 14 to 52 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Additional education or experience
  • Completion of National Career Readiness Work Keys assessment
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste handling, traffic patterns, GMP, OSHA, EPA regulations
  • Teamwork and safety awareness
