Job summary

Workers United Pennsylvania Joint Board, an SEIU affiliate, is seeking an Organizer to join multiple campaigns across Western PA and state-wide efforts. You will help build power at worksites, industries and communities, and work closely with the PAJB Organizing Director and team.

The role emphasizes bottom-up worker organizing, training volunteers, and coordinating with allied organizations. Evening/weekend work is required, with a car allowance and benefits included.

Qualifications

• At least one year of labor union organizing or related campaigns.
• Knowledge of labor law governing organizing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; Spanish desirable.
• Able to lead and motivate workers in difficult situations.
• Strong organizational and deadline management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead external and internal organizing campaigns under the Organizing Director.
• Train and work with volunteer organizers and Organizing Committee members.
• Track, report, and analyze campaign progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with allied organizations to advance campaigns and conditions for workers.
