About the Role

As a CBRE Mobile Technician, you will perform facility building maintenance across retail sites within the Queens, NY area. This position falls under the jurisdiction of IUOE Local 30 and requires adherence to collective bargaining agreement standards. You will focus on multiple trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs. The company provides a fully equipped vehicle, essential tools, a fuel card, relevant technology, and a branded uniform to support job performance.

What You'll Do

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems for assigned facilities to keep building systems up to code and applicable standards.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills when reviewing work orders, providing estimated time of completion, and identifying materials needed for repairs.
• Support energy management by taking measures to ensure all systems operate efficiently.
• Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
• Use communication skills to exchange information and respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Apply existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while following defined duties and methods.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under guidance and in accordance with Local 30 standards.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1 to 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow established work routines and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Service Channel is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
• Ability to work within a union-represented environment and adhere to Local 30 operating procedures.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Mobile Tech position is $39.00 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
