Job summary

SSA Conventional, Inc. seeks an Operations Labor Manager to direct and coordinate union labor, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.

The role exercises independent judgment over labor personnel and equipment usage, while representing management in safety, security, productivity, and labor relations. Responsibilities include workforce planning, directing foremen, enforcing bargaining agreements, investigating incidents, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent management experience considered.
• Preferably 3 years managing union labor in a comparable environment.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain TWIC card.
• Current CPR certification and knowledge of safety practices.
• Familiarity with terminal operations, cargo stowage, and union rules.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to use terminals' systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate labor personnel, foremen, and staff per policy.
• Plan workforce and equipment to meet schedules within budget.
• Monitor safety, productivity, and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare reports and escalate issues to senior management.
