Mitchell Companies is seeking a Warehouse Keg Picker in Washington, DC to accurately select, prepare, and stage beer kegs for customer deliveries. This hands-on role requires working in a cold box, and a 10-hour shift with a 4-day workweek.

Responsibilities include selecting kegs from cold shelves, staging for loading, labeling, and maintaining inventory while complying with safety policies. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour and benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a cold box environment for extended periods.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Safely stage and prepare kegs for loading and transportation.
• Ensure orders are picked accurately and ready for scheduled deliveries.
• Maintain organized inventory by properly storing and arranging kegs.
• Inspect kegs for damage or defects and report issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure kegs are properly labeled and stored according to company standards.
• Follow safe lifting and handling procedures to prevent injury and product damage.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Work closely with warehouse employees, loaders, drivers, and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Complete required paperwork or digital logs related to inventory, picking, and shipping.
• Perform additional warehouse-related duties as assigned.

This is a hands-on, physically active warehouse position that requires working in a cold box for extended periods. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of OSHA warehouse safety standards

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a physically active warehouse position. Employees routinely:

• Work in a cold box environment with low temperatures for extended periods
• Lift and carry kegs and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Repeatedly push, pull, bend, reach, and walk throughout the shift
• Stand and remain active for extended periods during a 10-hour shift
• Work around warehouse equipment and varying temperatures and noise levels
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
