Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Journeyman Drywaller to install drywall systems, measure and cut panels, and secure finishes to meet project quality and design standards. You will collaborate with the team to coordinate installation activities and resolve routine challenges on site.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2–4 years drywall experience or completion of an accredited apprenticeship, and OSHA 10 certification (preferred; OSHA 10 within 6 months of hire).

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent experience in drywall or 2-4 years of experience in drywall installation, finishing, or a related field required.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred; OSHA 10 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

  • Installs metal stud framing and drywall panels, ensuring accurate measurement, cutting, and secure attachment to framing.
  • Inspects completed work for smoothness, alignment, and adherence to project specifications, addressing deficiencies as needed.
  • Coordinates with other trades and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Maintains accurate records of materials used and progress for reporting and inventory purposes.
  • Identifies and communicates installation or finishing challenges to leadership for resolution.
  • Ensures work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe throughout all phases of drywall installation and finishing.
