Job summary

Christman Mid-Atlantic Constructors in Sterling, VA is seeking a Union Finisher for full-time work on mid-Atlantic projects. You will smooth and finish concrete surfaces, form and lay out concrete forms, and handle tools while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role requires at least two years of concrete construction experience and union membership. HS diploma or GED is preferred; OSHA 10 is a bonus. Travel up to 60 miles per day may be required; $30.00 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in concrete construction.
• Union membership required.
• Own hand tools; power tools provided by employer.

Responsibilities

• Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete on floors, slabs, elevated slabs, and site work.
• Spreads concrete to a specified depth and workable consistency.
• Levels and shapes concrete, and finishes freshly poured concrete at project sites.
• Utilizes required tools to complete tasks.
• Assembles and constructs concrete forms.
• Loads, transports, and unloads tools and supplies for each project.
• Observes and follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Assists with related carpentry tasks as needed.
• Ensures work meets company quality standards.
