Job summary

Lee Johnson Auto Family in Seattle is seeking an Automotive Detailer to maintain new and used vehicles to the LJ Way, with a focus on great service and teamwork and a healthy work life balance.

You will detail exteriors and interiors, wash with cleaning solutions, apply wax, polish surfaces, vacuum upholstery, and follow safety protocols. Final candidates must pass background and MVR checks before hire.

Responsibilities

• Wash vehicle exterior using cleaning solution, water, cloths, brushes, wash mitt.
• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect and preserve vehicle finish.
• Clean upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces using vacuum cleaner and/or extractor.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials using manufacturer guidance.
• Proficient with an orbital polisher and various compounds and polish.
• Understand detail equipment and safety practices for pressure washer, orbital polisher, power tools, etc.

The Automotive Detailer will detail as well as recondition new, used and customer vehicles. The detailer is an extension of the service department and is held closely to the standards of a technician. We are looking for experienced detailers who can work a flat rate pace.

• Wash vehicle exterior using: cleaning solution, water, cloths, brushes, wash mitt.
• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect and preserve vehicle finish.
• Clean upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces using vacuum cleaner and/or extractor.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment following recommendations of the products’ manufacturer.
• Proficient with an orbital polisher and various compounds and polish.
• Comprehensive understanding of common detail equipment and safety best practices related to: pressure washer, orbital polisher, power tools, etc.
