Job summary

Lee Johnson Auto Family in Kirkland, WA seeks an Automotive Detailer to detail and recondition new, used and customer vehicles. The detailer will work at a flat-rate pace and uphold the LJ Way standards for service and quality.

Responsibilities include exterior washing, waxing, upholstery cleaning, and using an orbital polisher. Pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and MVR review are required before hire. Employment is contingent upon successful screenings.

• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect and preserve vehicle finish.
• Clean upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces using vacuum or extractor.
• Apply cleaners to remove foreign materials following product recommendations.
• Proficient with orbital polisher and various compounds and polish.
• Understand common detail equipment and safety practices for equipment like pressure washer and power tools.

The Automotive Detailer will detail as well as recondition new, used and customer vehicles. The detailer is an extension of the service department and is held closely to the standards of a technician. We are looking for experienced detailers who can work a flat rate pace.

• Wash vehicle exterior using: cleaning solution, water, cloths, brushes, wash mitt.
• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect and preserve vehicle finish.
• Clean upholstery, carpets, and other surfaces using vacuum cleaner and/or extractor.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment following recommendations of the products’ manufacturer.
• Proficient with an orbital polisher and various compounds and polish.
• Comprehensive understanding of common detail equipment and safety best practices related to: pressure washer, orbital polisher, power tools, etc.
