Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer in Los Angeles to oversee facility management services and operations. You will be the primary day-to-day contact, driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvements across the site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, or five (5) years of equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years of Team Management experience.
  • Entry level Engineers with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field and no work experience in Preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field with three (3) years of work experience is preferred.
  • Without a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, seven (7) years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the facility’s critical physical infrastructure.
  • Oversee the development and accuracy of site-level operating procedures and other documentation.
  • Supervise and elevate as needed ABM’s response to after-hours emergencies at assigned facilities.
  • Manage the Change Management Program.
  • Manage the MOP, SOP and EOP Program.
  • Audit all CMMS databases for accuracy and completeness, produce reports as required at customer request, control system access and user credentials.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures of assigned contracts.
  • Manage the complete physical assets pertaining to the Operation and Maintenance of the critical and non-critical infrastructure equipment and systems.
  • Resolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the facilities while minimizing risk and business impact and communicate issues to management and customers in a timely manner.
  • Manage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including schedules, new business, projects, budgets, expansion, and staffing.
  • Set, review and approve employee work/PTO schedules; audit and process employee time and payroll.
  • Manage access to the facilities ensuring the appropriate access control lists are maintained and reviewed regularly.
  • Make space and power recommendations to the customer and manage power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions
  • Ensure compliance of Customer SLA parameters and Change Control activities, review and approve all system changes (set-points, thresholds, alarm-points, etc.) which could impact customer operations
  • Ensure that ABM training expectations are met and audit the process monthly
  • Identify, vet, and approve all sub-contractors who will perform work on-site
  • Develop PM contract scopes-of-work, ensure contract terms are fulfilled

Pay

$71.96 /hour
