Job summary

Ferguson in Rockford, IL is seeking a Union CDL Delivery Truck Driver to join our team and deliver materials to customers, unload with a pallet jack, and maintain accurate delivery tickets. You will coordinate with warehouse staff and drivers, follow safety policies, and provide excellent customer service on every stop. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL A or B.
• 1-3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet and maintain CDL requirements and DOT standards.
• Must have/maintain a valid DOT Medical card.
• Air brake endorsement required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with warehouse/logistics is a plus, including shipping/receiving.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• Able to operate basic technology (iPads).

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using pallet jack and two-wheel dolly; ensure delivery ticket is provided.
• Pick up customer returns and verify product for credit requests.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel as needed; report issues.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Assist warehouse with pulling, preparing, receiving and stocking orders.
• Work overtime as needed and comply with safety regulations.

Ferguson is seeking a Union CDL Delivery Truck Driver to join our team!

The pay rate for this role is $26.90 hourly

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 5:00 to 1:30 pm or until route completion

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid CDL A or B
• 1-3 years of commercial driving experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads
• Air brake endorsement required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
