Southeast Houston | Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time.

Looking for a hands-on role where your attention to detail and customer service skills truly make an impact?

Openwork is partnering with a respected public safety supplier to hire motivated, service-focused Uniform Store Associate in Southeast.

Houston. In this important position, you’ll ensure that police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other public safety professionals are equipped with uniforms and gear that fit properly, feel comfortable, and perform under pressure.

We are especially interested in candidates with previous experience in customer fittings and uniform services — including those who have worked at Jos. A. Bank, Men’s Wearhouse, SuitMart, or similar organizations where personal fitting, tailoring coordination, and high-level service were key parts of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and assist customers with uniform, boot, and gear fittings.
• Ensure proper sizing and a professional appearance for all issued items.
• Recommend products that meet both agency standards and individual needs.
• Coordinate alterations including patches, hemming, and embroidery.
• Manage fitting appointments, track inventory, and maintain accurate records.

What You Bring:

• 1–2 years of recent experience in uniform fitting or tailoring support within a retail environment (preferred: Jos. A. Bank, Men’s Wearhouse, SuitMart).
• A friendly, professional attitude with a strong focus on service.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
• Basic sewing or alteration experience is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and work with your hands throughout the day.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with one weekday off).
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
• Sunday: Off.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $17.00/hour, paid weekly.
• Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance available on Day One.
