As one of our Unemployment Compensation Tax Agents, you will travel throughout an assigned territory within Pennsylvania to help a wide range of employers and businesses comply with PA Unemployment Compensation (UC) Law. In this UC Tax Agent position, you will make in person and other types of contacts with employers and businesses to communicate all requirements they must fulfill under PA UC law. With our team, you will examine their financial records and investigate issues to confirm compliance, identify errors, and find fraudulent activity. The advanced auditing work you perform will also include identifying misclassified workers and uncovering hidden or unreported wages to ensure that workers receive the pay and rights they are owed under the law. Additional responsibilities include collecting delinquent taxes, interest, fees, and penalties through various contact methods and collection actions. Each case is unique and offers an abundance of new learning opportunities.
As this role is home-headquartered, your responsibilities will involve spending a mix of time traveling, working at home, and working on-site with employers and businesses throughout your assigned geographic territory. Our team will rely on you to apply your knowledge of PA UC Law to render decisions that incorporate your experience and good judgment assisted by established guidelines and procedures, as well as your creativity and adaptability to confront problems not directly covered by precedent on a daily basis.
